To make services and care more accessible and convenient for the community, Kaiser Permanente Hawai‘i will open its newest facility — West O‘ahu Medical Office at Kapolei — on Monday, April 5.
“We’re committed to improving the health of the communities we serve. Kaiser Permanente has cared for the people of Hawai‘i since 1958 — more than 60 years,” says John Yang, M.D., president and medical director of Hawai‘i Permanente Medical Group Inc. “We’ve had a smaller facility in Kapolei for more than 20 years. It’s a growing community, and we want to continue to grow with it.”
“We recognize that Kapolei and the surrounding areas of West O‘ahu are ever-evolving, so our No. 1 priority is to make sure we provide the right level of care for our members in these neighbor- hoods,” adds Greg Christian, president of Kaiser Permanente Ha- wai‘i health plan and hospitals. “This means bringing new services and enhancing our facilities to meet our West O‘ahu members’ needs.”
Located on the corner of Kapolei Parkway and Kamokila Boule- vard, the 40,000-square-foot facility offers a vast array of services, including primary care for families, prevention and wellness pro- grams, mental health services, a laboratory and pharmacy, as well as women’s health services; general radiology, mammography and ultrasound imaging; and urgent care that will be open nights, weekends and holidays.
