Brooke Shields, who was last seen in the 2021 Netflix rom-com A Castle for Christmas, is the subject of the two-part documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, which follows the exploitation and sexualization she endured as a child actress. Shields is currently doing another rom-com for Netflflix, titled Mother of the Bride, with this brunette actress who’s known for her starring role on Nickelodeon’s iCarly.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves — based on the fantasy tabletop role-playing game (RPG) — is in theaters now. Charming thief Edgin Darvis, played by Chris Pine, embarks on an epic quest to retrieve a long lost relic. Joining him on this adventure are Doric (Sophia Lillis), Xenk Yendar (Regé-Jean Page) and Holga Kilgore, who is played by this American actress known for her iconic role as Letty Ortiz in The Fast and the Furious franchise.
If you haven’t read the best-selling book Killers of the Flower Moon yet, you have until October to finish it before the film version hits theaters. There are some big names involved in this production — Martin Scorsese is directing, Leonardo Di Caprio stars in the lead role and the cast also includes Robert De Niro and this performer who recently won the
Academy Award for Best Actor.
It’s been 20 years since Kaua‘i’s Bethany Hamilton lost her arm in a shark attack, and it’s been 12 years since the film about her experience, titled Soul Surfer, debuted in theaters. The movie was filmed on the pro surfer’s stomping grounds on the North Shore of the Garden Island and starred AnnaSophia Robb, Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid and this country music singer who, according to her song Before He Cheats, is somebody you definitely do not want to two-time.
National Read a Road Map Day
In a world where most drivers are dependent on satellite GPS and artificial intelligence personal assistants (we’re talking to you, Siri), it’s useful to still know — or learn — how to read a good, old-fashioned road map. Should satellites disconnect or phones die, it would be good to know your way around so you don’t accidentally wind up in Timbuktu.
Fill in the blank cells using numbers 1 to 9. Each number can appear only once in each row, column, and 3x3 block. Use logic and process of elimination to solve the puzzle. The difficulty level ranges from Bronze (easiest) to Silver to Gold (hardest). Answers are in the classifieds.
