Do you ever notice that when actors play parts phenomenally, they tend to be cast in similar roles going forward? Such is the case with Gina Rodriguez in ABC comedy series Not Dead Yet, which
launched its fifirst episode Feb. 8. She stars as journalist Nell Stevens who writes obituaries and
gets her material/life advice from an unlikely source. Rodriguez was also cast as characters who shared a passion for writing in Someone Great and this CW show reminiscent of a telenovela.
David Duchovny is best known for portraying the conspiratorial FBI agent Fox Mulder in The X Files, but lately he’s been exercising his comedy chops. He joins an all-star cast that includes Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis Dreyfus and Jonah Hill in the movie You People, now streaming on Netflflix. He’s also on board for the sequel to this millennium-spanning farce spearheaded by comedy legend Mel Brooks.
Have there been enough motion pictures about Elvis Presley yet? Not according to Netflix. Agent Elvis, an adult animated action comedy series, follows the King of Rock
’n’ Roll as he balances life as a secret government spy and global superstar. His former wife, Priscilla, is listed as the show’s co-creator. Voicing Presley is this seasoned actor who
thinks everything is “all right, all right, all right.”
This week marks 19 years since Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen hit theaters. It stars Lindsay Lohan as Mary Elizabeth “Lola” Steppe, who hopes to make it big on Broad- way but suffers a setback when her family moves from New York City to New Jersey. The musical comedy features Adam Garcia, Alison Pill and this actress who rose to fame after her role in Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Whether this person is naturally grouchy, or perhaps just going through a rough patch, use today as an opportunity to turn their frown upside down. Friendly favors include surprising them with their favorite dish, helping them with a difficult project or simply lending an ear as they air out their complaints.
