Now that the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over, shuffle the deck a bit with your loved ones. Today is the day for some relaxation, fun and laughter. Wheth- er it be poker, blackjack, crazy eights, goldfish or rummy, there are literally thousands of card games to play. So what are you waiting for? Start dealing!
Fill in the blank cells using numbers 1 to 9. Each number can appear only once in each row, column, and 3x3 block. Use logic and process of elimination to solve the puzzle. The difficulty level ranges from Bronze (easiest) to Silver to Gold (hardest). Answers are in the classifieds.

Pioneering sci-fi writer Octavia Butler is having a moment. Hulu is streaming Kindred, which is based on her novel about a modern African-American woman pulled back to the antebellum
South. Viola Davis’ production company is reportedly working on an adaptation of Butler’s Wild
Seed, about a power struggle between a pair of immortals. And HBO has ordered a pilot
for Fledgling, about a genetically modified vampire. Reportedly on board for that last project is
this powerhouse producer known for his work on several Star Wars films.
Anna Kendrick is taking her career in a new direction. The actress/singer, who’s best known for play- ing the lead in the Pitch Perfect franchise, is set to direct The Dating Game, an unsettling true story about serial killer Rodney Alcala. Kendrick will also act in the film, alongside this Emmy Award-win- ning actor, who’s mastered the art of awkwardness in shows such as Arrested Development and Veep.
Jessica Lange has played some of the greatest roles in classic literature, such as Maggie in 1984’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Joan Crawford in 2017’s Feud: Bette and Joan. Lange can be seen in Marlowe, which releases in February, starring opposite this Irish actor who took on the lead role in the action thriller series, Taken, and also lent his voice in The Chronicles of
Narnia trilogy.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button released 14 years ago this week in theaters. It stars Brad Pitt, who is born under unusual circumstances as an elderly man and ages in reverse. He encounters all sorts of odd escapades throughout the course of his life, but the one thing that drives Button forward is his relationship with Daisy, who is played by this Australian actress known for her role as Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
