$15K To Help Homeless And Their Keiki
The 1 ‘Ohana Foundation recently made a $15,600 donation to Project Hawai‘i Inc., an organization dedicated to helping and enhancing the lives of Hawai‘i’s homeless and poverty-stricken keiki.
The donation will provide homeless teens with residential support to attend college so they can gain employment to fulfill their dreams. Blood Bank Spreads A Little Love With ‘Hugs’
This past summer, Blood Bank of Hawai‘i partnered with Help, Understanding & Group Support and donated “hugs” (essential items) to the organization for each blood donation that was made. Items such as hospital amenity kits were given to support programs like respites nights. HUGS’ mission since 1982 has been to improve the quality of life for families as they face the emotional and financial hardships of caring for a seriously ill child.
