Wilbur Luna has been re-elected as treasurer of the Hawai‘i Education Association board of directors. He also serves as its finance committee chair. Luna has taught at Leilehua and McKinley high schools and served as vice president of the O‘ahu Education Association. He’s also been the director of field services and director of special programs for the Hawai‘i State Teachers Association.
Adrienne Miller joins Finance Factors as vice president and special projects manager. She will help the company transition to the current expected credit loss accounting standard model. In addition to nearly 12 years of experience in the banking industry, Miller is also a certified anti-money-laundering specialist and a certified regulatory compliance manager.
Scott Schwarzwalder has been promoted to associate project architect for the design firm G70. He has more than 10 years of experience in project management and design in the hospitality, commercial and residential markets. He has also worked on projects in the state of New York and abroad, and received numerous awards and certifications.

Melissa Leina‘ala Moniz has been hired as director of marketing and strategic communications at Mid- Pacific Institute. She will lead a team of strategists dedicated to advancing Mid-Pac’s mission by promoting inclusivity, creativity and innovation. Moniz was previously director of communications at Le Jardin Academy and corporate communications manager at Central Pacific Bank.
Frank Okimoto has been named vice president of capital construction and campus development for The Queen’s Health System. He will oversee the planning, architectural design and financial management of construction and renovation work across the medical center’s Punchbowl and West O‘ahu campuses. He was previously vice president of operations at Nan Inc.
Stacey Katakura is CEO of outsourced accounting firm Accumulus, which specializes in nonprofit organizations, health care and professional service companies. Katakura brings a deep level of accounting knowledge, financial advisory and community engagement to the role. She serves on the boards of directors for YWCA and the Women’s Fund of Hawai‘i.
