shark Invitational Surf Contest, which is the state’s longest-run- ning surf contest
for lawyers and law students, returns to Kewalo Basin Park. It features boogie board, longboard, shortboard and stand-up paddle competitions, plus a surf costume event. Saturday, Sept. 17 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

DUCK RACE
See 20,000 rubber ducks swim in the Ala Wai Canal during the 2022 Great Hawaiian Rub- ber Duckie Race. Hosted by United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawai‘i, ducks will race down a 50-yard course from the Kalākaua Avenue Bridge along the Ala Wai Canal Promenade. Pre-race activities, including keiki games and a hula performance, begin at 11 a.m. behind Hawai‘i Convention Center.
