Stay Gold: A Nonprofit That’s Music To Artists’ Ears

struggling to make ends meet, due to health reasons and other circumstances outside of their control. Our pay-it- forward approach provides mentorship opportunities to aspiring artists while simulta- neously helping underserved musicians in the community. Artists who have participat- ed in the program include Starr Kalahiki and Bruddah Waltah.
The first program we launched under Stay Gold Hawai‘i is the Save Our Artists initiative. Through this endeavor, we are able to support local musicians who are having a difficult time feeding their families with generous donations provided by people from Hawai‘i and all over the world.
I was raised by my Italian great-grandmother, Matilda Columbini Mariani, until the age of 7. I’ve been blessed to have been handed down the keys to surviving some very fiery times in my life.
Donations to Stay Gold Hawai‘i help provide ongo- ing funding for local gigging musicians and their families in the form of grocery store gift cards, housing stipends, job placement opportunities and more.
