Goodwill’s annual fundraiser — Goodwill Goes GLAM! — takes over Blaisdell Exhibition Hall Aug. 18-20 and will feature a gala and
fashion show (Aug. 18) produced by Native Hawaiian designer kumu Micah Kamohoali‘i, who will reuse and redesign Goodwill garments.
“I have fond memories of thrifting clothes, décor and other household items at Goodwill while I was going to college in California and was honored when Goodwill Hawai‘i asked me to participate in this fundraiser,” states Kamohoali‘i. “I’m excited to showcase my passion for Hawaiian history and culture in this collection for Good- will while also being able to contribute to a cause that uplifts our local people in need.”
On Aug. 19-20, the public is welcome to stop by and peruse the best items Goodwill Hawai‘i has to offer, in- cluding designer clothes, shoes and handbags; vintage housewares; and one-of-a-kind collectibles — all curat- ed from donations received by the community.
