Cherishing The Importance Of Outdoor Spaces

Since 2015, MKH has been committed to fostering con- nections within communities by forming partnerships with residents, local government, businesses and other commu- nity stakeholders.
The pandemic has under- scored the importance outdoor spaces have on our physi- cal and mental well-being, heightening our appreciation for parks and public spaces. Over the years, the Alexander J. Cartwright Park and Field had fallen into disrepair and was not being fully utilized. MKH entered into a park agreement with the city to en- hance the vitality and safety of Cartwright Neighborhood Park for youth sports teams, residents, and other park us-

While following city and state mandates, MKH hosted a home run derby with youth baseball players during Cartwright’s birthday week- end and Makahiki games for keiki in the fall.
