Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler and Megan Mullally are joining forces for the feel-good comedy The Fabulous Four, which will shoot July through September (with a mysterious and fabulous
fourth?). Sarandon is also lending her voice to the superhero animated film Blue Beetle and
stars with this notable singer and actor in the upcoming Fox series Monarch, about a fictitious country-music dynasty.
Rachel Zegler, who’s set to play Snow White in Disney’s live-action adaptation of the 1937 film, has a busy next couple of years. It was announced last week that she leads The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (due Nov. 17, 2023) and, before that, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, alongside this funny guy who once voiced Rapunzel’s smoldering true love in Tangled.
Father of The Bride, which starred Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett and Elizabeth Taylor, was reinvented in 1991 with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. It’s being revived yet again, and features a Cuban family in which the intended bride proposes to the would-be groom. Plus, her parents have a dark secret — they’re getting divorced. The flick hits
HBO Max on June 16 and stars Andy Garcia and this actress/songstress who famously sings Rhythm Is Gonna Get You.
It’s been 16 years since movie fans first saw Lightning McQueen, voiced by Owen Wilson, drive through Radiator Springs in Pixar’s Cars. The animated film was the first of many to feature the lovable vehicles — namely, a tow truck named Mater, played by Nebraska native Daniel Lawrence Whitney, who goes by this stage name that has something to do with television.
