The seventh and fifinal season of Netflflix’s Grace and Frankie premiered April 29, making it the mega streaming service’s longest-running show to date. But this isn’t the fifirst time that the series’ lead actors, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, have starred alongside one another. The dynamic duo were in an ’80s comedy with this iconic country singer who’s known for her big
hair and even bigger heart.
Ben Affleck is directing and starring with Matt Damon in an untitled fifilm for Amazon in which Damon plays a salesman for a flfledgling shoe company named Nike. Meanwhile, Afflffleck returns as Batman in The Flash (due June 2023). Damon will also be appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as in this acclaimed writer/director’s flick titled Oppenheimer, which is about the father of the atomic bomb.
Rising rapper and proud Kentucky native Jack Harlow is taking his career to the next level. It was recently announced that the 24-year-old will play Billy Hoyle in 20th Century Studios’ reboot of White Men Can’t Jump. The original film, which debuted in ’92, starred this laid-back Texan actor who shares a name with a character in Toy Story.
Shrek 2 hit theaters 18 years ago this week. The computer-animated comedy stars Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey and Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona. The second installment in the Shrek film franchise features new characters including Julie Andrews as Queen Lillian, Jennifer Saunders as Fairy Godmother and Antonio Banderas as this feisty feline.
