Venus Rosete-Medeiros is CEO of Hale Kipa. Rosete- Medeiros has more than 35 years of experience serving youth and families in Hawai‘i. Her extensive background includes work with nonprofit organizations, as well as private and public school systems. Most recently, she served as Kamehameha Schools’ community strategist and regional director for Maui, Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i.
Ernest Ahumada has joined ProService Hawai‘i as chief sales officer. In his role, Ahumada will expand the business development team dedicated to helping local employers find the best HR solutions to grow their organization and support their employees. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the HR services industry and was previously with ADP.
Polly Tice has been named partner for Mason Architects Inc. Tice joined the firm in 2001 and has functioned as director of its research division for over a decade. She oversees Mason’s full range of consulting services related to historic properties, including experience in authoring historic contexts, architectural inventory surveys, Hawai‘i and National Register nomination forms, and preservation and maintenance plans.

Sam Aiona is executive director of Palama Settlement, and will provide strong leadership and vision for its future. He will guide the organization through reassessing its strategic plan, ensuring it continues to provide vibrant programs and essential services that uphold its mission of serving those who have the greatest needs in the community. Aiona was former director of the state Office of Community Services.
Sara Strona has joined as associate for Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher. Strona focuses her practice in the areas of real estate law, commercial transactions and corporate law. She represents clients in connection with real state acquisitions, development and construction, financing, commercial leasing and corporate restructuring. Strona earned her Juris Doctor from William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
Ernest Magaoay is vice president and area manager of First Hawaiian Bank’s Waipahu Banking Center. He is responsible for managing his team of bankers to help clients find their ideal banking solutions. Magaoay has 30 years of financial services experience in commercial, mortgage and SBA lending. He was previously branch manager at the bank’s Lāna‘i, Sand Island and Kapolei branches.
