Ashli Sasano has been appointed an independent agent for Finance Insurance. She began her financial services career in 2013, focusing on life insurance, before moving into other lines of coverage. Sasano received her bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Washington in Seattle. She is a member and former president of the Rotary Club of East Honolulu.
Brent Lewis is deputy director of budget and finance for Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation. In his new role, Lewis will be responsible for planning, directing and managing HART fiscal operations including financial analysis, budgeting, debt financing, cash management, accounting, internal controls/audit and risk management. He has over 14 years of finance and budgeting experience in local government.
Kymberly Sparlin has been named deputy director of the Office of Economic Revitalization for the City & County of Honolulu. In this position, Sparlin will play a major role in OER’s growth and strategy to generate good jobs, enhance business capacity, and create partnerships in the areas of health care, technology, skilled trades, clean energy, and agriculture and food systems.

Bryan Andaya has been named director for ES&A Inc. Andaya has been an attorney of counsel to the firm since 2017 and brings to the position more than 24 years of legal and business experience. His practice includes franchising, corporate transactions, business strategy, real estate, and labor and employment law. Previously, Andaya was president and COO of L&L Franchise Inc.
Julianna Lehman is the manager for Honolulu Community Action Program Inc.’s Hā Initiative: Creative STEM After-School Program. Lehman is responsible for the overall development, promotion and implementation of the program. Most recently, she served as a program specialist for HCAP’s Nā Lima Hana Employment Core Services Program. Lehman holds a master’s in social work from Syracuse University.
Chris Rothschild is director of the Global Exchange Academy for Mid-Pacific Institute. He will establish an authentic, place-based learner experience for any age by cultivating the courses and curriculum for the Global Exchange Academy, overseeing the virtual, in- person, and blended learner experience and managing GlobalX instructors. Previously, he was a senior research scientist at University of Washington.
