Taking a break from fifictional fifilms is Will Smith as he embarks on a 26,000-mile trek from the South Pole to the North Pole in his new series, Pole to Pole, on Nat Geo (Disney+). This comes hot on the tail of Smith’s award-winning portrayal as the father of these superstar tennis players.
The late Bob Saget will live on in his last film appearance in the comedy Killing Daniel, which was shot in the Grand Cayman Islands last spring. Saget married this journalist in October 2018, who is the host of Eat Travel Rock TV, during which she takes viewers through the best of food, travel and music.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody, a biopic about Whitney Houston, is set to release in theaters later this year. Naomi Ackie embodies Houston, while Ashton Sanders is cast as Bobby Brown. Meanwhile, the role of record mogul Clive Davis will be played by this actor who also portrayed Abraham Erskine in Captain America: The First Avenger.
300 released this week 14 years ago and takes place in 480 B.C., when a state of war existed between Persia and Greece. Leonidas (Gerard Butler) leads the Battle of Ther- mopylae even though his warriors are badly outnumbered against the Persian army and its “God-King” Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). Prior to the battle, Xerxes sends messengers to threaten Leonidas, who responds with this famous line.
