When Tiare Thomas, owner of Aloha Dreamboard, first meets with her clients, she hears the same words over and over again: overwhelmed, stuck and lost. After they come out the other side of an intro- spective journey, words like empowerment, liberation and clarity are used instead.

When people go in search of Thomas’ services, they’re at a crossroads. For some, a rela- tionship may have just ended or their job doesn’t fulfill their purpose — whatever it may be, they aren’t happy, and feel uneasy and unsure as to what’s next. I was in my twenties and a girl- friend of mine invited me to do a vision board because she was going through something similar and thought that this would be really good for us to start to manifest the things that

The Waikīkī native began by teaching her friends the art of dream boarding, then held a few workshops and, as popu- larity grew — and the success stories became too many to count — she created Aloha Dreamboard in 2014.
