The Perfect Holder For A ‘Pop’-ular Treat

SUPPLIES AND TOOLS:
• 1 white cardstock, 10 1/2-by-6 1/2 inches, for base
• 5 red cardstocks, 1/2-by-6 1/2 inches, for stripes
• 1 colored cardstock, 2 1/2-by-3 inches, for message top layer • 1 colored cardstock, 2 3/4-by-3 1/4 inches, for message bottom layer
• scrap white cardstock, for popcorn
• yellow and orange markers, for popcorn
• double-stick tape
• 1/4-inch hole punch
• 28 inches of 5/8-inch ribbon
• score board
• paper trimmer
• scissors
• packet of microwavable popcorn*
• stamp and ink pad, markers, stickers, etc. (optional)
* Note: These measurements are for a packet of microwave popcorn approximately 4-by-6-by-3/8 inches. You can adjust the size of your treat holder for a gift card, candy bar or other treat. Just wrap cardstock around the treat to get your mea- surement. Ribbon length will need to be adjusted as well.

Place the white cardstock onto the score board with the 10 1/2-inch edge along the top. Score at: 1/2, 1,
5 1/2 and 6 inches for the holder base. Crease at the scored lines to get the base of the treat holder. To make the box stripes, continue scoring every half-inch at 6 1/2, 7, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, 9, 9 1/2 and 10.
Take the hole punch and punch a hole on the center stripe about 1/2 inch from the edge. Punch the hole through both thicknesses. Thread the ribbon through the holes with the ends of the ribbon evenly matched.
Insert the popcorn packet into the holder by placing onto the center of the ribbon and pushing down.
