Ayça Yüksel is senior vice president and director of strategic segments marketing at Bank of Hawai‘i. She is responsible for overseeing the bank’s wealth and small-business marketing team, and co-developing critical strategic initiatives across the organization. Yüksel has more than 20 years of hands-on experience at enterprise companies like Microsoft, Amazon and booking.com.
Rie Shoji has been appointed a financial adviser for Ameriprise Financial Services’ Honolulu office, joining its 4-K Financial Planning & Asset Mgmt. Group. She provides financial advice that is anchored in a solid understanding of client needs and expectations, and offers one-on-one counseling. Shoji has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
LaDonna Vaughn has joined Poukihi as accounting manager. She will maintain fiscal policies to ensure clients’ financial health and integrity and provide financial insight, awareness and recommendations to clients. Vaughn brings nearly 10 years of experience in accounting to the job. Prior to Poukihi, she was an accountant supervisor for the state of Hawai‘i.

Toren Yamamoto recently became an associate with law firm Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert in its business and commercial law practice group. Yamamoto earned his law degree, cum laude, from University of Hawai‘i William S. Richardson School of Law, where he served as staff writer and technical editor for the University of Hawai‘i Law Review.
Trevor Johnson has been appointed director of quality assurance and quality controls of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation. Johnson will be responsible for establishing and implementing the HART Quality Management Plan and ensuring that all employees, consultants, contractors and vendors comply with the QMP and all project contractual requirements.
Gerry Kahookano has been promoted to director of operations at Pono Pacific Land Management LLC. He will oversee all operation aspects — from bids and budgets to making sure all projects have the right equipment and tools, as well as managing long-term operational strategies. Kahookano has nearly 20 years of experience in the conservation industry.
