P. 7

  Dear Darah,
I wanted to share my heartfelt thanks to two gentlemen (I didn’t even get their names in all the crazi- ness) who came to the aid of a senior with a broken car block- ing the right lane on Wai‘alae Avenue.
my car out of the park gear, so he left but came back with his co-worker. Together they figured out how to get my car into neutral so they could push it out of the way. When I thanked him for helping me, he said, “That is what we are supposed to do — help one another.” What a wonderful testament to the way he leads his life.
with care and kindness. Thank you, my two guardian angels, for being there for me! I wish the two of you only the very best in life’s blessings!

Dear Susan,
He is so right when he said this is what we are supposed to do. We are brought up in Hawai‘i to show aloha and respect for our “aunties,” and that was on display that day. I am sure that young man has the innate spirit in his every- day actions.

and, of course, continuing to offer superb, outstanding choc- olate. Their hearts are huge! From the time we were locked down to the present, Erin sent out emails that spoke to our hearts. Her candidness about her challenges normalized the emotions we all were experi- encing. Juggling a small busi- ness, a young family, publish-
ing a book, her book tours and ministry is mind-boggling. And she continues to be supportive, kind and faithful. Wow! She makes things fun with her Tik- Tok videos and sharing mo- ments of being lighthearted and with nature. Obviously, I am a fan and proud to be considered a chocolate friend.
Alisa Jones Honolulu
Dear Alisa,
Thank you for your “sweet” letter. Erin loves what she does and responds with, “This is absolutely won- derful to hear from our choc- olate friends and know they are experiencing the genuine love that goes into everything from our chocolate family. I
have an incredible family, hard-working team and loyal supporters. Together, we are truly living out our company mission of ‘bringing peace to our world, one chocolate (one email, one book, one talk, one video ...) at a time.’ We love our chocolate friends like Al- isa and her family, and are so grateful we can connect and sweeten relationships with these people who have become a part of our lives.”

It was a very scary and stressful situation, as I could not use my flashers to warn other drivers about my stalled car. With the honking of oth- er drivers and the bus having to go around me, I was over- whelmed. A young man who works for a plumbing com- pany came to offer help. Un- fortunately, he couldn’t get
I am forever grateful for his aid and his presence that calmed me down. He chided me for not having emergen- cy supplies in the trunk and for standing in the road. His “Aunty, don’t stand there, you going get run over!” was filled
