Joy Barua has been appointed president and COO of Finance Insurance. Barua brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to his new role. Most recently, he served as deputy director of the City & County of Honolulu Department of Community Services. Before that, he also worked at Kaiser Permanente and Honolulu Community Action Program Inc.
Jennifer Moran has been chosen as the 2021 National Magnet Nurse of the Year awardee for Exemplary Professional Practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a stroke program coordinator at Queen’s Neuroscience Institute. Moran is the lead advanced practice registered nurse for the neuroscience acute care nurse practitioner team.
John McNamara is senior vice president for marketing and communications at Hawai‘i Pacific Health. Previously, McNamara was president of CommPac and associate athletics director at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Before coming to Hawai‘i in 2004, McNamara spent 15 years in senior-level management positions in Chicago, Denver and Toledo.

Trang Nguyen has been promoted to assistant vice president/assistant controller with Territorial Savings Bank’s corporate office. Nguyen’s is responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting staff, reviewing accounting transactions and regulatory reporting, preparing financial reports and assisting with external/internal audits.
Dr. Michael Haight is medical director at AlohaCare. He will focus on quality of care and safety with the health services team and will be responsible for overseeing care management. Haight brings more than three decades of medical administrative experience, including almost 20 years in principal positions, to the role.
Lauren Esposo is benefit analyst and consultant at Atlas Insurance Agency. Esposo will develop and analyze financial reporting spreadsheets that will support benefit consulting with strategic benefit planning and evaluation. She will also serve as a liaison with service providers and carriers in business planning and benefit program interpretation.
