Kimi Sakuda Takazawa has been named executive director of Ballet Hawai‘i. Takazawa will oversee and guide long-term strategic planning, organizational culture and fund development. Most recently, Takazawa served as COO of ‘Ōlelo Community Media. She is a graduate of Punahou School and Columbia College.
Ku‘uhaku Park has been elected chairman of Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i’s board of directors. Park previously served as first vice chair and has served on the chamber’s board for the past six years. He is currently vice president of government and community relations at Matson Navigation Co. Inc. and has been in the maritime industry for over 30 years.
Charmaine Viegas is digital fundraising manager at Aloha United Way. In her new role, she is responsible for implementing and maintaining AUW’s digital fundraising tools for workplace campaigns and other special events. Viegas is also the liaison for AUW’s Affinity Group, Women United. She previously was catering sales manager for ‘Alohilani Resort Waikīkī Beach.

Dr. Chung-Huan “Johnny” Sun has been named medical director of Neuro Critical Care at The Queen’s Medical Center. He’s been a neuro-intensivist at QMC and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine since September 2020. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Emory University.
Tammy Walz now is CEO of Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association and First Tee-Hawai‘i. In her new role, Walz will oversee the organization’s initiatives to grow the game of golf for the benefit of keiki statewide. Previously, she held executive leadership roles in youth development organizations, including Boys & Girls Club and YMCA.
Scott Kazunaga has been appointed director of engineering with Outrigger Hospitality Group’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikīkī Beach Walk. He handles all matters related to the repair and maintenance operations of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. Most recently, he served as director of engineering at Hilton Garden Inn Waikīkī.
