One of the most anticipated movies of this year, Don’t Look Up, is set to hit Netflix Dec. 24 after its initial release in select theaters Dec. 10. The film tells the story of two astronomers (Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio), who try to warn the world of an incoming comet. Written and
directed by Adam McKay (Anchorman, Step Brothers, Ant-Man), the movie also stars many big- time names, like this pop star-turned-reality competition judge with an impressive voice.
Nicholas Hoult has been in X-Men Apocalypse, Deadpool 2 and The Favourite, and more recently op- posite Angelina Jolie in Those Who Wish Me Dead. He’s now shooting The Menu, with Anya Taylor-Joy and this English actor who starred in The Grand Budapest Hotel.
While awaiting the release of The Eternals (Nov. 5), one of its actors, Gemma Chan, was just announced as part of the star-studded cast for the upcoming horror film, Cuckoo. Filming is
set to begin in April, and Chan will be joined by Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer, Atomic Blonde’s Sofia Boutella and this Oscar-nominated actor, who enjoys being himself.
Ten years ago this week, the sports drama Warrior was released to U.S. audiences. The movie stars Nick Nolte as an alcoholic father, and Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as his two estranged sons pitted against each other in a winner-takes-all mixed martial arts match. Edgerton’s character was loosely based on a real-life UFC combatant who was a high school teacher by day and a cage fighter by night. What is this fighter’s name? (Hint: His nickname derives from a certain comic detective.)
