For as long as I can re- member, I have been passionate about ocean advocacy. After visit- ing Australia, I was taken by the beauty of the Great Bar- rier Reef, and later, grow- ing up in Hong Kong, I was disheartened when I found myself surrounded by a col- orless ocean filled with pollu- tion and deteriorating marine life. After moving to Hawai‘i, I became motivated to do my part for the environment and founded Artists Save Waves as a 501(c)(3) organization. This is where my journey as a young “ARTivist” began.

My nonprofit helps sup- port the community through education, awareness and funding, which allows me to partner with other nonprofits. The main partner of ASW is Sustainable Coastlines Ha- wai‘i. In 2020 during the pandemic, I collaborated with SCH to unveil a 50-foot mural at Wet’ n’ Wild Hawai‘i titled The Net Gain.
