‘Aiea’s Dr. James T. Kakuda Cancer Center Celebrates 5 Years
Pali Momi Medical Center physicians, nurses, staff, leadership and patients commemorated the five-year anniversary of the Dr. James T. Kakuda Cancer Center with an intimate blessing ceremony Oct. 25. Pali Momi opened its comprehensive cancer center on Oct. 30, 2017, creating a one-stop shop where specialized medical teams could provide coordinated cancer care services for patients closer to where they live and work. The cancer center is the first integrated center of its kind serving Central and West O‘ahu, and the only program in the area that is currently nationally accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
