The library at the Boys & Girls Club of Ha- wai‘i’s Spalding Club- house in Honolulu just got bigger. U.S. Rep. Ed Case re- cently donated dozens of sur- plus books from the Library of Congress during a recent visit. Now, club members of all ages can enjoy picture books, young adult fantasy novels, cookbooks and more. “I love going out to organizations like the Boys & Girls Club of Hawai‘i and giving them books because, for me, books were everything growing up,” states Case. “As I’m able to give out books, I feel and hope that I’m creating the same love of reading and learning in children of this generation” ... The Central Pacific Bank Foundation, headquartered in Honolulu, is seeking partic- ipants for its WE by Rising Tide program, which helps women entrepreneurs shape their future and achieve suc- cess in the business commu- nity. The 11-session work- shop is free and conducted in partnership with the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership.
