Students interested in inno- vation and entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply for scholarships to the school’s Pacific Asian Center for En- trepreneurship program.
for Innovative Student En- trepreneurs building. RISE is an innovation-and-entrepre- neurship center with 219 fully furnished single and double rooms for student housing. It is scheduled to be completed in 2023 and leasing applica- tions are open.
PACE is open to students at all 10 UH campuses — in- cluding Kapi‘olani Commu- nity College. There are 50 scholarships available, rang- ing from $1,000 to $6,000.
Students who live there will not only have brand-new ame- nities, but also proximity to PACE programs in the class- room, makerspaces, meeting rooms and co-working spaces also included in the building.
In addition, Central Pacific Bank Foundation and Kame- hameha Schools are offering 25 separate scholarships to Native Hawaiian students in- terested in the program.

As part of First Hawaiian Bank’s Community Care program, it recently held a school supplies drive for East O‘ahu’s HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support) Hawai‘i. The FHB team collected more than 80 backpacks filled with school supplies, as well as canned goods and diapers. The nonprofit, which is located in Kaimukī, strives to strengthen local families and improve their quality of life as they navigate the emotional and financial hardships of caring for seriously ill children.
