    Local Challenge Reaches Kaiser High
Kupu and Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation are joining forces for the fifth year, once again offering the Hawaiʻi Youth Sustainability Challenge. The initiative provides students with an opportunity to partic- ipate in “community partner- ship challenges.”

This year, 13 schools are involved statewide, including Kaiser High.
As part of the challenge, a student from Kaiser High will work with the Army Nat- ural Resources Program on a backyard native seed orchard for forest conservation. Oth- er high schools, meanwhile, will focus on topics like cli- mate change, environmen- tally friendly plant pots and more.
