   Aloha friends and neighbors. This month I had a won- derful opportunity to join our proud educators in our Mililani community for the first Mililani Complex Plan- ning and Collaboration Day event. Hosted on-site by principal Fred Murphy and the gracious staff of Mililani High School, the event unit- ed educators within the dis- trict for a daylong gathering offering a wealth of informa- tional and strategic sessions focused on all aspects of ed- ucation and student interests.

fessional development and collaboration. Tracey Tokuhama-Espinosa, who researches neuroscience in education, was the featured keynote speaker. A total of 113 sessions were of- fered by 93 educators with a variety of content areas, strategies and techniques. From topics such as so- cial emotional learning and mental health to education- al resources and leadership talk story sessions, the day provided invaluable profes- sional development oppor- tunities.
