Clearway Energy Group officially dedicated its newest solar facility at Mililani Agricultural Park on Aug. 11. Participating in the ceremony are (from left) Hawaiian Electric CEO Shelee Kimura; state chief energy officer Scott Glenn; battery supplier Wärtsilä vice president Andy Tang; Gov. David Ige; chair of the House Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection state Rep. Nicole Lowen; Clearway origination manager Nicola Park; Clearway senior vice president of development John Woody; Clearway head of external affairs, West region, Julia Zuckerman; and vice president Josh Meyers of the project builder Moss Construction. The plant is designed to provide clean energy to the grid even after the sun sets and further advance the state’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045.
