• HOLIDAY Give back this holiday season from 9 a.m. to noon at Mililani Shopping Center. Residents are invited to bring canned goods to the annual Milil- ani holiday food collection drive. The public can also donate a new, unwrapped toy or book or make a cash donation to the Toys for Tots Foundation in the An-
nual Toys for Tots Holiday Toy Drive. Every toy and dollar donated stays locally to help support less fortu- nate children on O‘ahu and sends a message of hope that will build self-esteem. Santa Claus will also be coming to Mililani Shopping Cen- ter. Guests can take a photo with Santa and receive a free treat. The event will also fea- ture a musical performance by Kimo Opiana. • PLAN The state Reap- portionment Commission will be holding a virtual pub- lic hearing on the proposed reapportionment plan for Central O‘ahu at 6:30 p.m. It is a starting point for de- veloping the congressional
and legislative districts lines that will be used for the next 10 years. The commission is encouraging people to use the Hawai‘i Redistricting Online application to draw and submit their own plans for review. Within the appli- cation, users must meet the criteria to ensure compact, contiguous districts that are approximately equal in pop- ulation. The hearings will be held via Zoom video confer- ence. Information about the meeting, including dates, links to join the meeting, and how to submit testimo- ny is posted on the Reap- portionment Commission webpage through elections. hawaii.gov.
