   Leilehua Complex Receives Ag Grant
 State Sen. Donovan Dela Cruz (District 22) has an- nounced that that the Leile- hua complex will be receiv- ing a $234,000 grant from the governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund for its agricultural technology pipeline program.

 The GEER grant was es- tablished to provide direct support to educational enti- ties in Hawai‘i and to fund innovative initiatives, which address the impact that the pandemic has had on the ed- ucation system.
“This was a very compet- itive and rigorous process as the GEER grant was only awarded to 31 education- al entities across the state. The Leilehua complex was selected as its proposal was viewed as a program that encompasses STEM education, project-based learning and leadership de- velopment. Funding will be provided through June 30, 2022,” Dela Cruz states.
