spark of personal experience and pairs them with dynam- ic vocal melodies and visual lyrical lines.”
Born and raised in Milil- ani, singer-songwriter Dan- ielle Oda currently resides in Los Angeles where for the past seven years she’s been pursuing a career in music.
Her first musical passions are singing and playing the piano, but she also picked up playing the guitar and ‘ukulele, often mixing a va- riety of arrangements and textures. In her days back home in Hawai‘i, Oda sang anywhere she could. Besides playing at a variety of ven- ues and hotels on the island, she also placed in the finals for both Don Ho’s showcase and Hawai‘i Stars.
On June 4, she released Flowers, a single co-written and co-produced with Kura Boyz — a duo DJ group comprised of LA-based Hideaki Ogiwara and Gene Hufana. The deep house song is a club-tinged cut with Oda’s hovering vocals and rhythmic bass, and is signed under Championship Music. It can be found on all major music platforms and is listed on many of Arma- da’s EDM playlists.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in music from Uni- versity of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, she moved to LA. Oda is half of the pop duo Perry & Dan- ielle, and also is a member of Oki Talk with DJ Oggy.
