Bridge In Waialua Remains Shut

Bridge 605 at Waialua Beach Road Kiʻikiʻi Stream Crossing will be closed indefinitely, due to recent damages incurred by heavy rainfall and flooding.

temporarily closed: No. 2202 Waialua Beach Road and Goodale Avenue, and No. 2203 Waialua Beach Road opposite Haleʻiwa Road.
The bridge is located on Waial- ua Beach Road between Goodale Avenue to the west and Haleʻi- wa Road to the east. It under- went structural inspections a few weeks ago, and was determined to be unsafe for crossings, according to DTS.
Road and Weed Circle. Bridge, road closure and detour signs will be posted and barriers will be placed at both sides of the bridge. DTS advises motorists to plan extra travel time through the area.
Students and parents of Waia- lua Elementary commuting from the east should detour onto Goodale Avenue.

TheBus Routes 76 and 83 will travel to Waialua as regularly, then travel via the detour route to continue on Haleʻiwa Road.
