Ohana Fest Nov. 22 In Kahaluu
The 11th annual Ko’olau Ohana Festival is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 22 at KEY Project in Kahaluu, where a homegrown Hawaiian dinner, entertainment and silent auction are in store for guests.
Themed “A’ohe Hana Nui Ke Alu ‘Ia” (no task is too big when done by all), the event supports the nonprofit center’s operations and programs that aim to uplift the community and house projects by like-minded nonprofits in the Kualoa to He’eia region. KEY is located at 47-200 Waihee Road.
Event chairman Kekoa Kaluhiwa has booked award-winning Windward entertainers Hoku Zuttermeister and Mailani Makainai, and his team will offer a silent auction, art and plant sales, a country store and dinner menu by Chef Ken Weir of KEY’s Kipuka Cafe.
Tables of eight cost $1,500, or $375 for two seats, and should be reserved by today (Nov. 5). For more information, call 380-7388 or visit keyproject.org.
