North Shore Beach Cleanup Saturday

Kokua Hawaii Foundation’s Plastic Free Hawaii program is partnering with North Shore Community Land Trust, Mikoh Swimwear and Malama Ke Ala Pupukea to sponsor a North Shore Beach and Bike Path Clean Up from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Check in is at 8:30 at Ehukai Beach Park.

Volunteers will clean the beach and bike path from Ke Iki to Sunset Beach. To offer help, email Vance Tarrant at kealapupukea@gmail.com.

The bike path group also has established regular dates for maintenance — which runs from Waimea Bay to Sunset Beach — and working on its fledgling native plant garden next to the Sunset Beach bridge.

The schedule lists the following dates: 2-5 p.m. June 28; 3-6 p.m. July 26, Aug. 23, Sept. 27 and Oct. 25; 2-5 p.m. Nov. 22, and December (to be announced). For details on these projects, visit kealapupukea.org.
