Norman Jones Wins A $250 Spree At Safeway

Norman Jones and wife Duck had guests visiting and wanted to get some groceries, so on a recent Tuesday they took a trip to Safeway on Pali Highway. As Norman stood outside with his cart full of shopping bags, MidWeek‘s representative approached him with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Safeway shopping spree.

“We’ve been coming to this Safeway for over 30 years,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, who is retired from the military. “I like shopping here because they’re friendly. When you walk in, they greet you and they ask you if you need help finding something.”

Norman has lived in Hawaii for about 40 years and enjoys reading, riding his bicycle, cooking and taking care of his wife. He also likes to read MidWeek.

“I always go to the Weird News page by Chuck Shepherd and then the MidWeek Poll question,” he said. “I also like the sales ads.”
