New Theater Coming To Kapolei
Kapolei Commons shopping center recently announced that it will soon include a 12-unit movie theater.
Regal Cinemas Kapolei Commons Stadium 12 is slated to begin construction soon and should open in fall of 2015. The theater will occupy 52,000-square-feet in the shopping center.
“Regal is thrilled to be adding another fantastic entertainment option for our loyal customers on the island of Oahu,” stated Jerry Grewe, vice president of real estate for Regal Entertainment Group. “Regal Kapolei Stadium 12 will feature a new level of amenities for moviegoing, where every seat will be a luxury electric recliner. Regal Cinemas is eager for construction to begin so that we can premiere this new luxurious theatre.”
The theater joins a number of shopping and dining venues at Kapolei Commons, including Pier 1 imports, Ruby Tuesday, Target, Office Max and Petco. TJ Maxx also is currently under construction.
“The addition of Regal Cinemas furthers our commitment to creating an exciting and vibrant center for kamaaina and visitors to gather,” stated Duncan MacNaughton, chairman of The MacNaughton Group, the development firm that handles Kapolei Commons properties.
“We are excited Regal Cinemas has chosen Kapolei Commons as the first location in Hawaii to debut the most cutting-edge entertainment technology available, and we plan on complementing this new theatre with additional fun and exciting dining and entertainment options.”
