More Homeland Security At CU
Chaminade University has beefed up its homeland security courses with the hiring of Ed Teixeira, former vice director of State Civil Defense, as professor in residence.
Teixeira is already on the Kaimuki campus teaching summer courses within the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration program. “I hope to bring in local and national homeland security experts whom I have personally
worked with,” he said, “to add to the unique, hands-on curriculum focusing on current policies, trends and prac- tices.”
He will head CU’s nationally recognized Homeland Security Leadership devel- opment track, partnering with the Naval Postgraduate School to prepare students for jobs in security, border protection, technology, counterterrorism and disaster preparedness.
