MLC Talks Mango Tree Basics

Malama Learning Center teaches residents how to best care for their mango tree at its Mango Tree 101 workshop, set for 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14 at Makaha Mangoes.

Makaha Mangoes owner and CEO Mark Suiso will lead the workshop, which covers mango tree care – including planting, pruning, harvesting, fertilizing water and more. The workshop is targeted at both current mango tree owners, as well as those who are thinking about growing one.

Makaha Mangoes is home to more than 70 trees in 12 varieties. It is located at 84-370 Makaha Valley Road in Waianae.

Registration is required. Cost is $10 per person or $25 for families of up to three people. To register, visit malamalearningcenter.org.
