Mila’s Closet, a children’s new and resale boutique, has opened in Windward City Shopping Center in Kaneohe, offering a great selection of high-quality children’s apparel (for newborns to size 14), toys, books, accessories and maternity wear. The store is named after Mila Bueno, and was opened by her grandmother Clarissa Bueno and godmother Peggy Chock. “Our kids are grown adults, so it wasn’t until Mila was born last year that we were reminded again of how quickly kids outgrow everything,” says Bueno. “And there’s an abundance of it with just one child — imagine more than one. We thought it would be a great opportunity for our communities to benefit by a children’s boutique that enabled them to ‘sell, shop and save’ all in one place. “Mila’s Closet serves as a way to encourage families to recycle and reuse and reduce the impact on our environment.”

“We select the items we believe customers want or are looking for, according to our current inventory,” notes Bueno. “Consignors will receive 50 percent of the sale price in cash or check. They also can use their account balance to purchase merchandise.”
