Melvin Inouye Wins A $250 Shopping Spree At Foodland

On Thursday, Melvin Inouye was in Pupukea and wanted to get a soda, so he made a stop at Foodland.

As he made his purchase at 10:30 a.m., MidWeek’s representative approached Melvin with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Foodland shopping spree.

“I always come here to Foodland,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, an audio-visual technician. “The prices are good, and the staff is friendly. I’ve been coming to this Foodland for almost 30 years.”

Melvin was born and raised in Moanalua, and graduated from Farrington High School in 1973. In his free time, he enjoys talking with friends through amateur radio. He also likes to read MidWeek.

“I like all the articles on the different restaurants and food writeups,” he said. “And it has interesting stories.”
