Mayor To Discuss Rail, Traffic

Area lawmakers have scheduled an Aiea-Pearl City community town hall meeting for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Pearl Ridge Elementary School to hear from Mayor Kirk Caldwell.

The March 21 meeting will be in the school cafeteria, and Caldwell is expected to discuss community issues such as the timely construction of the rail line and traffic congestion. The school is located at 98-940 Moanalua Road.

“We are very fortunate that Mayor Caldwell will be in our community to meet with our residents,” stated Rep. Gregg Takayama, “and we encourage students and their families to attend this special meeting.”

Co-sponsors with Takayama are state Sens. David Ige and Donna Mercado Kim, Reps.

Aaron Johanson, Mark Takai and Roy Takumi, and City Councilmembers Carol Fukunaga and Breen Harimoto.
