‘Mary Poppins’ Tryouts

Those who aspire to sing while dispensing spoonsful of sugar should take note: Diamond Head Theatre has auditions this weekend for Mary Poppins.

The stage adaptation about the magical-yet-no-nonsense nanny who helps bring the Banks family back together takes inspiration from both the original series of books and the 1964 Disney film.

Auditions start at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in DHT rehearsal hall, 520 Makapuu Ave. Come prepared to tap dance, read from the script and sing something from the traditional Broadway repertoire (bring your own sheet music).
