Magnolia In Kahala Mall
Magnolia in Kahala Mall hosts an artist reception/trunk show Dec. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. featuring Elizabeth Kent (who designs jackets and scarves made from kimono), Bev Creamer jewelry, and Michelle and Sharon Saoit of LOLA (known for its one-of-a-kind works of botanical art terrariums).
Locally owned and operated, Magnolia opened in October 2010 and offers an assortment of olive oils and gourmet foods, as well as an eclectic mix of jewelry, home furnishings, lighting (such as LED light strings and lamps/pendant lighting), antique and vintage items, as well as artwork by various local artists.
Some of the brands you’ll find are ‘Ili body scrub (made on Kauai), Noho Designs home furnishings, Jamie Young lighting, Sid Dickens memory blocks (carried in the Islands exclusively by Magnolia), Kai fragrance, Grove 45 olive oil and Takii Umami powder.
“There’s always something new here, and special items you don’t typically find in other shops here,” says owner Maggie Parks, who also is an attorney. “The mix is always changing, always evolving. Being a small boutique/gallery gives us the flexibility to change quickly and incorporate new products and art into our mix.
