Lovely V-day Bluegrass Tunes

The sound of love will float through the air around Leeward Community College theatre on Valentine’s Day, thanks to a special bluegrass concert featuring the Saloon Pilots playing progressive blue-grass and Americana, and the North Shore Ramblers, made up of Neal Snyder, Jeb Wiemer, and Virginia and Bob Hayes.

Also performing will be banjo comedian Jordan Savusa of Ewa Beach and Tricky Britches.

Savusa started his career with The Laugh Factory Hawaii and Honolulu Theatre for Youth. He currently is a member of Bluegrass Hawaii. Tricky Britches melds together country swing and rockabilly beats to entertain guests with toe-tapping rhythm.

Festivities begin at 8 p.m. Feb. 14, and tickets, which run $15-$25 plus applicable fees, can be purchased online (where donations also are welcome) at lcctheatre.hawaii.edu or by calling 455-0380.
