Library Show Has ‘War’s End’

The Battleship Missouri Memorial and Kapolei High School are working together to present “The Images at War’s End,” a photo display of images and memorabilia from the USS Missouri.

The exhibit will be on display this Saturday through Feb. 22 at Kapolei Library.

Showing images from the end of World War II, the exhibit features photographs that were selected from the collection of National Archives at College Park Maryland. Until now, these images have largely been unseen. Many were taken by U.S. Navy and Army Signal Corps photographers.

The exhibit also will include documentary film recordings taken from the USS Missouri during the formal end-of-the-war ceremony in 1945.
