Leilehua To Host Parent Project Workshop
Leilehua High School will host a 10-week course for parents beginning Jan. 28 in the school counseling center.
The Parent Project’s series of workshops aim for “life-changing results” between parents and their teens.
Workshops run from 6 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday. Sessions are free; the workbooks cost $25, and some scholarships are available. The program is open to all parents, guardians, teachers and youth counselors.
The national training program has an intervention model designed to help parents who are raising difficult or out-of-control adolescents in order to – among other goals – reduce family conflict and improve school performance. To register or for more information, call Cyndy Sumbad at 636-1321.
