Legislators Talk Story Thursday
Four Windward legislators each sit on multiple committees in the state House and Senate, and Honolulu City Council, so when they all decide to get together to talk story with the community, it’s a good idea to listen up.
Bring your questions and suggestions Feb. 27 to the Enchanted Lake Elementary School cafeteria, where state Reps. Cynthia Thielen and Chris Lee, state Sen. Laura Thielen and City Councilman Ikaika Anderson will address issues pertinent to the Windward community and answer questions and concerns from residents in the Kaneohe Bay, Kailua and Waimanalo districts.
Rep. Thielen, assistant minority leader, 50th District, is vice chairwoman of the House Energy and Environmental Protection Committee, and ranking member for Consumer Protection and Commerce, Judiciary, and Waters and Land committees.
Rep. Lee chairs the House Energy and Environment Protection Committee and serves on the Consumer Protection and Commerce, Judiciary, Ocean, Marine Resources and Hawaii Affairs, and Water and Land committees.
Sen. Thielen is on the committees for Agriculture, Economic Development, Government Operations and Housing, Water and Land, and Ways and Means.
Councilman Anderson is vice chairman of the Honolulu City Council and chairman of the Zoning and Planning Committee.
Light refreshments will be available.
The school is located at 770 Keolu Drive. Call the Office of Rep. Thielen at 586-6480 or email repthielen@capitol.hawaii.gov for more information about the meeting.
