Lanikai Theater Tackling Those Wall Street Evil-doers

Lanikai Mortgage Players are back with a Wall Street melodrama, Filthy Riches or, You Cad, Your Three Minutes Are Up!, which opens at 8 p.m. Friday and runs through Sunday and May 22-24 at Shreve Theater in Lanikai Community Center.

The melodrama unfolds in a Tycoon’s Club in New York in 1876, centering on telephone inventor Alexander Chimes attempting to woo the wealthy Hedy Greenbacks, all while beating back the evil intentions of the villainous Jason Ghoul.

Filthy Riches stars Roger Tansley, Carol Nichols, Debbie Lamb, Courtney Nichols, Lew Lappert, Jeff Griswold, Barbara Coriell, Keith Merriam, John Wilson and Melissa Garcia (making her Players’ debut). James Duca directs and Brenda Hillebrenner is producer.

An olio directed by Theo Rodgers follows the show.
