Lance Kuwabara Wins A $250 Spree At Foodland

On Thursday, Lance Kuwabara wanted to buy some groceries for Thanksgiving, so he grabbed the Foodland insert in MidWeek and took a trip to the new Foodland in Kapolei. As he made his purchase at 11:30 a.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Lance with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Foodland shopping spree.

“I like shopping at Foodland because it’s neat, clean and easy to walk around,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired firefighter.

Lance is a 1972 graduate of Kailua High School, and lives in Waianae with wife Valerie. He has four children, and enjoys gardening and being Mr. Fix-it. He also likes to read MidWeek.

“I like the ads and the articles,” he said. “I go through the whole thing.”
